The Senior Accountant responsibilities include maintaining general ledger, preparing month-end close procedures and files, reconciling account balances and bank statements. Accountant duties also include ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all assigned accounting tasks.
Position tasks / Responsibilities
Gather, monthly, the backup (Aging, roll forward, reconciliations, etc.) for each Balance Sheet account.
Maintain support files (vendor trends, variance analysis, etc.) for certain Income Statement accounts.
Financial statement preparation on a quarterly basis under local regulations.
Interact with auditors regarding information/documentation requirements.
Prepare all the needed documentation for updating the statutory and US GAAP books (daily journals, balance sheet, tax book, managers meetings, others)
Monthly P&L analysis for identifying the evolution and composition of the monthly results.
Manage internal and external Accounts Payable communications.
Assist implementation of new accounting policies and procedures.
Record journal entries in the accounting ERP following the workflow and internal policies and procedures.
Other miscellaneous tasks or special projects.
Work Experience Requirements
Minimum Experience Requirements
5+ years of experience in accounting
Good knowledge of accounting and financial statement preparation under local regulations.
Fluent in English
Knowledge and experience on computerized accounting systems
Microsoft Excel skills
Desirable Requirements (Not Mandatory)
Prior experience working for a Big Four company.
Specialized experience using SAP S4 Hana preferred.
Academic Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
