Position Summary

Based in Mexico City, the Sales Manager will own the commercial strategy and execution for the Mexican market. This role requires a hands-on leader who can both think strategically and execute relentlessly.

You will manage key sporting goods accounts, develop growth plans, secure premium in-store visibility, and drive sell-in and sell-out performance — while building and coaching a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Commercial Strategy & Key Accounts

  • Own and drive the commercial strategy for key sporting retailers.
  • Build aggressive, data-backed business plans per account.
  • Identify whitespace opportunities and unlock growth.
  • Negotiate space, visibility, activations, and commercial terms.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews with strong analytical insights.

2. Sales & Performance Ownership

  • Deliver and exceed monthly and annual sell-in targets.
  • Drive sell-out acceleration with clear action plans.
  • Monitor KPIs: Sell-In, Sell-Out, Margin, Inventory Turnover, Market Share, Credit Balance.
  • Ensure flawless execution on orders, deliveries, and launches.
  • Partner with Marketing to maximize retail activations and seasonal campaigns.

3. Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as commercial lead with Marketing, Product, and Supply Chain.
  • Provide sharp input on pricing, inventory, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Ensure product storytelling and execution excellence at retail.

4. Team Leadership

  • Lead and coach 1 direct reports.
  • Set clear KPIs and accountability standards.
  • Develop a high-performance culture — proactive, fast, solutions-oriented.
  • Drive ownership mentality across the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5–7+ years of commercial experience in: Sporting goods, Sports fashion, Footwear, Athletic lifestyle brands
  • Proven track record managing major retail accounts.
  • Experience leading teams and driving measurable growth.

  • Excellent communicator in Spanish and English.
