Reporting organizationally to the Senior Manager Distribution, and the Director of Operational Services in Mexico, the Regional Manager Distribution will be a key member of the FIFA26 Logistics team, and work in close collaboration with FIFA Zurich key collaborators and other key individuals. This position is responsible for the day-to-day execution of regional distribution operations in their designated region to ensure seamless and cost-effective transportation, timely delivery, and high service standards within venues including stadiums, airports, team base camp training sites and team base camp hotels assigned to their region.
The main responsibilities and oversights of the Regional Manager Distribution – Mexico for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include:
Manage daily distribution operations, including scheduling and overseeing deliveries between warehouses and venues within the region.
Coordinate venue-to-venue transfers and return shipments to warehouses, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
Implement distribution processes and workflows aligned with the Senior Manager, ensuring efficient, secure, and cost-effective deliveries.
Collaborate with the Venue Logistics, Material Planning, Warehousing, and Customs workstreams to coordinate and fulfill all regional move orders, managing the flow of materials to meet regional venue requirements from warehouses to venues, venue-to-venue and venue to warehouse. Remain in constant communication with Venue Logistics team to ensure the needs of the venue and functional areas are being met in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance with FIFA’s safety protocols and local transportation regulations.
Ensure health, safety, and well-being of all team members, including compliance with safety standards and protocols.
Conduct regular safety briefings and audits to uphold operational safety standards.
Supervise the planning and testing of regional delivery routes, factoring in venue locations, traffic conditions, and timing constraints.
Ensure all distribution activities adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, including compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards.
Utilize tracking tools to monitor shipments in real-time, providing updates to the Regional Manager and addressing any delays or disruptions.
Maintain accurate delivery records and prepare reports on distribution performance, including delivery times, costs, and safety compliance.
• Conduct post-delivery audits, verify documentation accuracy, and report on key metrics such as delivery times, safety adherence, and cost efficiency.
Participate in regional logistics meetings, providing updates on distribution progress, challenges, and performance metrics.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to address and resolve any logistical issues impacting distribution operations.
Facilitate driver and dispatcher training on route protocols, safety standards, and FIFA-specific operational requirements.
Ensure all team members are familiar with sustainability practices and their role in achieving them.
Participate in outreach programs, as required, intended to educate stakeholders on tournament time operations.
Act as first point of contact for Logistics if travelling or based in alternative locationMaintain daily/weekly logistics situational reporting
THE POSITION
Fluent in English and Spanish.
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, etc.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management or a related field in logistics, distribution, or transportation management, with a proven track record of operational success in large-scale events or similar environments with a solid understanding of Can-Mex-U.S. transportation regulations and best practices in distribution logistics.
Team player with a strong customer-service focus, comfortable across all levels of communication and a desire to go the extra mile.
Ability to present and clearly communicate to audiences in a multitude of public/private settings as required.
Proven track record in managing complex projects, multi-tasking, and prioritization of tasks and deliverables.
Willing to work to complex, tight, immovable timelines while maintaining a positive attitude, exhibiting patience, persistence and experience working in a multi-cultural, multi-national environment.
Excellent analytical skills, ability to make decisions both independently and within a team environment.
