Puesto: Basketball Coach

ASF is currently looking for an experienced and energetic Basketball Coach to join our Athletics team. This position supports basketball players from Lower School through Upper School, helping them build fundamentals, game IQ, and leadership skills in a competitive yet inclusive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead structured basketball practices focused on skill development, game strategy, and teamwork
• Plan and execute drills, scrimmages, and fitness sessions
• Coach teams during interscholastic games and tournaments
• Foster a positive and disciplined team culture
• Provide performance feedback to players and guide their growth over the season
• Communicate with school staff and families about schedules and student progress
• Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
• Collaborate with the Athletics department to support long-term program success
• Utilize technology, film analysis, and performance data to enhance coaching
• Support athletes in maintaining balance between academics and sports

Qualifications

Required:

• Experience coaching youth or school-level basketball
• Knowledge of fundamental and advanced basketball techniques and tactics
• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with students across a range of skill levels

Preferred:

• Degree in Physical Education or related field
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Formal coaching certifications (e.g., FIBA, NFHS)
• Collegiate or professional basketball experience
• Fluent or conversational English

Pay: $20,000.00 - $24,000.00 per month
